Manchester Museum is famous for its collections of anthropology, archaeology and natural history. The museum is housed in the center of Manchester University’s group of Neo-Gothic buildings. It includes about 4.5 million of exhibited objects which drag numerous visitors. The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00, except 24 to 26 December and 1 January. The entry is free. The Museum of Science and Industry

The large museum is a very popular visitor attraction of Manchester. The Museum of Science and Industry presents the development of technology, science and industry. The collections include locomotives, aircrafts and computing items. The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00, except 24 to 26 December and 1 January. The entry is free. (September 2013)

Manchester Art Gallery

The fantastic Manchester Art Gallery is a free visitor attraction of the city which houses the civic art collection including works of local and international artists. There are numerous famous paintings housed within the museum. It is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00, with late night opening on Thursday, until 21:00. (September 2013)

People’s History Museum

This unique museum includes collections presenting the history of working people of the UK. It tells us the story of democracy in the United Kingdom. Museum of Transport

The Museum of Transport is a great museum which preserves and promotes Greater Manchester’s public transport heritage. The large collection of the museum is one of the largest of its kind in the UK. It houses about one hundred of buses, two trolley buses, posters, books, maps, old timetables, plans and other items. The museum is open for visitors from 10:00 to 16:30 on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. During August it is open daily. (September 2013)
