Christmas markets

As I already mentioned it, the country turns into a magical winter wonderland before Christmas. Traditional Christmas markets make an important part of the feast. Europe is proud of its traditional Christmas markets and the United Kingdom makes no exception for hosting some.

There are several such markets all around the country. The most important and largest ones can be found in such main cities like London, Manchester, Worcester, Salisbury, Edinburgh and Wrexham. These markets offer fantastic atmosphere, with dozens of stalls selling seasonal goodies, Christmas ornaments, art crafts and so on.

Ice rinks

If you love outdoor activities even during the cold season, you can not miss the fantastic ice rinks of the United Kingdom. There are numerous ice rinks all around the country. The most important ones can be found in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, at the Eden Project and so on. Some ice rinks are located adjacent the Christmas markets. Besides, there are Ice Rink Cafés near the majority of rinks where you can rest after ice skating, have a delicious mulled wine or hot chocolate.
