Loch Morar

Loch Morar is the deepest loch of the UK. It is located near the coastal village of Morar. The loch actually fills a basin carved out by glaciers, this is the explanation for its depth. The maximum depth of the loch reaches 1.017 ft (310 m). Besides the fact that it is the UK’s deepest loch, Loch Morar is also famous for holiday-makers. The picturesque loch is excellent for kayaking, for instance.
