Newport Castle

Newport Bridge

As one of the nine bridges of the city, the one named Newport Bridge is a significant landmark. The bridge is open for cyclists, motor vehicles and pedestrians. The original bridge on the site of the Newport Bridge was a stone bridge. During the 1920’s the bridge was widened and later it was totally replaced.
